GSC Strategy
From Genomic Standards Consortium
The GSC Mission is being implemented primarily through roadmaps developed at GSC workshops. Thus far, the GSC has produced two yearly roadmaps.
More detailed information can be found on the GSC BLOG or through thegensc-wg-all mailing list. An archive of updates sent to the GSC (via gensc-wg-all) with appropriate hyperlinks can be found in the GSC Change Log.

GSC Roadmap 2006-7
The 3rd GSC workshop report has a ten point plan covering Sept 2006 to the end of 2007. See GSC Publications Against this roadmap, we have now implemented GCat identifiers and the GSC can support the capture of MIGS-compliant genome reports through the beta version of its Genome Catalogue. The GSC has tasked itself with generating MIGS version 2.0 by the end of 2007 as a production version of the specification complete with an appropriate set of terms formalized within OBI. We hope this will enable journals to consider adoption of MIGS as a standard associated with the publication of complete genomes and metagenomes.
GSC Roadmap 2005-6
An initial GSC Roadmap was first developed at the exploratory workshop in Sept 2005 that led to the formation of the GSC: GSC Roadmap 2005-6
