[edit] Background
One aim of the implementation of MIGS/MIMS compliant reports in GCDML is to allow different sources to generate their own reports. A collection of MIGS/MIMS compliant reports for the same (meta-)genome entity would allow direct comparative analysis. An open question is to track and decide which report is the most reliable in terms of data content. One important criteria to decide on reliability is to know whether the MIGS/MIMS compliant report is curated by the same experts who also initiated and maintain the respective (meta-)genome project and are therefore the authority.
This proposals suggests a solution on how to indicate that a MIGS/MIMS report is the "Authoritative" one.
